Red Gambel Oaks in Autumn
Gambel oaks, turned a rusty red at the end of autumn, in southwestern Colorado.
REASON FOR REJECTION: I wish the red oak leaves extended across the bottom! Or that the yellow leaves extended across the bottom! Or that the limbs extended across the bottom! As is, the patchy red and yellow across the bottom looks too disjointed to me. I like the top two-thirds of the frame and really dislike the bottom third because it lacks cohesiveness (some branches, some red, and some yellow but not enough of any of them to work well).
