Fiery Autumn Orange
Fiery orange autumn leaves on a Gambel oak tree in southwestern Colorado.
REASON FOR REJECTION: Another photo I really wanted to work! There are not enough of the bigger limbs to pull this composition together. Instead, it just feels like patches of leaves and little limbs randomly scattered across the frame without any structure. A fine idea for a composition but I do not think this one works. There is also a round blob shape in the lower middle that attracts a lot of attention but is not very visually interesting. Photo © copyright by Sarah Marino and Ron Coscorrosa.
