Color Mix, Aspen Trees
An especially colorful hillside of aspen trees in early autumn in southwestern Colorado.
REASON FOR REJECTION: If I were putting together a portfolio of fall color photos with the theme of warm yellows, oranges, and reds, I'd consider including this photo. Compared to the previous photo, this composition feels stronger to me, with the patch of yellow-orange aspens in the middle being visually dominant with a nice frame of green around the edges. The flat light is plain but I think it works for the scene. I do not love the warmer colors so I decided to leave this photo out to help with the goal of a tighter curation, although I do like it well enough to consider using it for something in the future.
