Expanse of Aspens
Autumnal aspens stretch up a mountainside. San Juan Mountains of Colorado.
REASON FOR REJECTION: This is another example of loving the flat, misty light while I was photographing and then deciding the photo feels too plain with repeated viewing. I like the idea of the aspens and evergreens reaching up this steep hillside but the light doesn't work well enough to put this into my portfolio. Maybe dehaze plus some contrast adjustments could help? I am still on the fence about this photo but objectively know that the light isn't very visually appealing.
