This gallery features photos of desert plant and flowers from the Mojave Desert, with a focus on Death Valley National Park. Learning about and engaging with plant life is one of the primary ways I connect with the places I photograph. With Death Valley, getting to know and love these plants has helped me understand the landscape much more deeply and what it takes to survive, even thrive, in this harsh environment. Many first-time visitors to the park see it as a lifeless place. If you look beyond this first impression, the Mojave Desert is full of life.
