Zion National Park is among our favorite places to explore and we try to spend some extended time in the park at least once a year. Although this park is quite busy and small compared to most other western national parks, it is easy to find solitude and quiet places. We have hiked or backpacked nearly every established trail in the park, and covered many miles off-trail wandering through the park’s canyons and among the sandstone landscapes. Even when returning to the same places over and over again, this place offers up something that feels fresh and creatively exciting.
