Photographing nature’s smaller scenes starts with deeply observing your surroundings to see beyond the most obvious subjects and then progresses to tuning into the ideas that resonate most with you. These connections are the sparks of inspiration that lead to creating meaningful photos—the photos that represent our most personal interpretations of the natural world. While this process can happen when photographing grand landscapes, it most often leads me toward photographing the smaller details around me. This portfolio is all about those moments of connection, with the additional theme of color (warmer colors and greens) bringing disparate subjects into visual cohesion.
