Death Valley: Sand Dunes

Death Valley, a place with few established trails, offers a lifetime of opportunities for independent exploration and wandering. With its expansive feel, minimalist features, and constant dynamism, this park's landscape continues to hold my attention. The more I wander, the more I realize how much there is left to see. This gallery features one of the best landscapes for wandering: sand dunes, including photos from the popular Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes along with the more remote dune fields across the park. If you are planning a trip to Death Valley, you may be interested in our ebook, Desert Paradise: The Landscape Photographer’s Guide to Death Valley National Park.
