There's no mistaking winter. The trees are bare, the mountains and trees are covered in snow, and there can be a starkness to the landscape that is hard to replicate in other seasons. While it can often be uncomfortable to photograph (some of these photographs were captured in -20F temperatures) it is always worth it. For some more winter photographs see my Yellowstone gallery.
