All of these photos are from a four-week trip to New Zealand's south island during the spring (October/November) of 2025. You may notice some mist and fog in this collection - and that's because it rained nearly every day of the trip (and not just minor rain, we're talking five inches in a day type rain!). It wasn't all rain though - it was also super windy. I really enjoyed the subtropical rainforest and beaches of the west coast, the birds, the marine wildlife, the bakeries, the flat whites, and photographed some of these subjects (and ate and drank the rest).
